A nice post

I want to be able to maintain a nice long streak, so here is a nice post. Also, as it is N.Y.E., I should write.

This morning I scootered over to the Morton’s house to pick up my bike, then went on to KMY to meet Dad. KMY is like the equivalent of the Co-op, or a small supermarket. We just did a 3-day-shop, because we will go again on Saturday, and we were very low on supplies. More importantly, we bought chocolate spread and PEANUT BUTTER!!!!!!! I have not had it in, er…4 days? It was so nice to have it at lunch!

And now, my fingers are freezing and I can see my breath in the air, even though I am inside. It is so cold! We bought a gas fire yesterday, but, up here, I cannot feel any of its warmth.

This evening we will let off some fireworks, then go to bed. The plan is for Dad to wake us up at midnight, so that we can see the fireworks but still get lots of sleep.

2014 in review

The dudes who came up with WordPress.com also came up with a nice summary of 2014. Below, you can find my summary…

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,600 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 43 trips to carry that many people.

Some Magnificent scenery!

Earlier today, we went for a nice long drive to find a nice place to eat our nice croissants, bought earlier at a nice bakery. It was a beautiful spot, and I let off some explosives, and Dad and I started a fire. We left, though, just when it was getting started. I hope we go back there soon. Tonight, I think I will be watching ‘The Hunger Games’ with Mum and Dad.

Enjoy the photo!

A very brief update in photos

Yesterday was great fun, and I took in a pretty nice haul. A new stereo system works well, and this morning I lay in bed, listening and controlling all with my remote control (nice touch, Phillips…). Earlier today, we went out for lunch to the village where Maarten and Gerdin work. They went out for shume mish (a lot of meat), and we had a lovely meal to the sound of my spectacular firecrackers, 80% of which worked to perfection!

…, right is the Christmas morning,¬†Left is the meal

Tonight, we are having a carol concert at our house. There will be about 30 people coming, so yesterday Dad and I went out to buy some nice stuff. We will be having 30 minutes of carols, followed by refreshments. I can’t wait!

In the meantime, I am trying to kill time. I just let off 10 explosives, but 4 of them were 3 small ones taped together. They were my favorites (and homemade, by the way), because I would light one, and then that would light the other two. That meant that the first one blew the sellotape off, and projected the other two away. In one case, one of them flew directly up, and exploded in midair! Another one flew up, bounced off our middle floor balcony then into a tree, where it took care of some leaves…
